The trackball has flexible wireless connection options. One via a 2.4Gz nano dongle that is present inside the body of the trackball and two more connections via Bluetooth.

The use of the Pro-Fit trackball is not at all complicated making it easy to use for both adults and children. It can be used as a traditional mouse using the same right and left click buttons and scroll wheel operations. Along with this is the advantage of a trackball with a roll of thumb.

Being wireless it is easy to carry around and can be used at some distance from the computer.

The vertical wireless trackball comes with an amazing three years warranty.

What’s not so great

The mouse is not ambidextrous. It can only be used by right-handed people.

The ejectable trackball can break, cause injury, or accidentally be swallowed by inquisitive children. It needs to be handled with care.

The Pro-Fit ergo vertical trackball is not very comfortable for big hands and long fingers. It is, however, a perfect fit for medium-sized hands.

Once you have downloaded KensingtonWorks software, you have to uninstall any third-party mouse software from the computer. It seems to interfere with Kensington’s software.

Most of the Kensington products come with a lifetime warranty and so should this trackball. However, the company covers only three years under warranty.

The DPI switch is on the bottom of the mouse. The position does not allow for any adjustments. However, since this is not a gaming mouse, the disadvantage is understandable

It would have been awesome had the batteries been environmentally friendly and rechargeable.

The trackball is available in only one color scheme and that is black. Also, it requires a learning curve before using it like a pro.

Conclusion

Kensington Pro Fit ergo vertical wireless trackball has a lot of strengths. The 60-degree tilt is naturally aligned and convex enough to be comfortable.

It boasts of a high precision sensor that is adjustable even if the DPI is located on the bottom of the trackball. The DPI adjustment makes it easy to perform with either high precision or high speed as needed. The three ways to connect the trackball gives a lot of options to the user to choose from.

The trackball ejector is a unique feature and helps in keeping the trackball clean. The removable battery is a good option as it ensures the trackball can work for decades unlike the case of inbuilt batteries. The programmable buttons are useful for a variety of functions.

The only areas of concern here are that it cannot be used by left-handed people and those with large hands. Being a wireless mouse, it gives a lot of freedom to carry around and works from a distance.

In the end, Kensington lives up to its name. The Pro-Fit vertical trackball is designed for comfort and delivers it very well improving everyday work-life.
